Youth Training and Knowledge Transfer

• Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC collaborates with Emirates Foundation on meaningful initiatives, with a clear focus on the young generation of the region, using the three pillars of training, education and entrepreneurship. This partnership assists Emirati youth find the right training programmes in most appropriate companies, hasten their professional and personal development and contribute to the growth of private business in the UAE. Over the past eight years Emirates Foundation has built a vibrant and diversified portfolio. Through its programmes focused on social inclusion; community engagement; leadership and empowerment, the Foundation has empowered thousands of young people to make positive contributions to their communities.

Awards

• Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC has been recognised by the Managing Director of Emirates Foundation, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, for the Firm’s long-standing partnership with the Foundation and for its continuous support to the Foundation’s programmes.
• The Award, which was organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Emirates Foundation, was given to Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC at a special ceremony and in the presence of an elite group of regional and international executives from the private and public sectors.
• The Firm's social responsibility programme also earned it recognition from the Arab Organisation for Corporate Social Responsibility. Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC received the Golden Award of Excellence in CSR from the Organisation. This award recognises outstanding efforts by public and private sectors organisations which have created a positive impact on their communities through their proactive social responsibility programmes in the Arab World.

Entrepreneurship Support

• SMEs are the bloodline of the regional economy and many of the region's largest conglomerates and family businesses started originally as small businesses. In 2012, Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC and MEED launched an Awards programme to celebrate successful entrepreneurs who were able to build and manage admired businesses in the UAE.
• Hundreds of businesses take part in the programme every year. Winners represent a diverse range of businesses from different commercial sectors, which demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation and growth.

Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF)

• In support of Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation’s (ADMAF) commitment to education, Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC has become official ‘Education Partner’ of the Foundation’s Abu Dhabi Festival since 2012, and that pledge continues to date. Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC helps drive the Abu Dhabi Festival’s deep and long-standing tradition of investing in innovative, world-class, educational outreach initiatives to inspire and nurture the next generation across the UAE. The Festival’s Education Programme provides multiple opportunities for children, young people and adults to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of the arts and culture, ignite their creativity and expand their horizons.
• Abu Dhabi Festival is an inspiring international platform for young Emirati talent where they can get exposure to world-class artists while showcasing the magnificence of the UAE’s heritage. Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC’s association with the Festival reflects our commitment to contribute to the development of our youth. Al Wifaq Finance Company PPC and Emirates Foundation will allow us to reach the youth of this nation and to help them reach their full potential.
• Emirates Foundation was established in April 2005 under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, with the purpose of assisting people, institutions, and community organisations that contribute to the nation’s long-term progress and sustainability.
